Telling the Truth

October 31, 2000 Halloween Day, at my school, My Home Room Teacher decided to get some color hair spray and paint some of the students hair if they wanted to. They could choose any color they want, it was "Crazy Hair Day". A friend of mine had decided to Steal a can of hair color spray, and she bragged about it to other students. Well, also on that day I decided to make a choice. That choice, has begun to take me on a different path, that now me and my friend are not on the same road anymore. We have known each other since the second grade. Well, she put the spray can in her backpack, and thats when me and my 2 other friends had seen what she had done, it also had our teachers name on the can. Nobody wanted to speak up, and they were telling me to tell because it was the right thing to do. Well I did, and I was called a "Rat", and was told "Do you want some Cheese Rat"? All this from a friend who stole a can of hair color, well I ignored it. Telling on her was the right thing to do. Even if it hurts, I stood up for what is right and I will do it again. She is continuing to call me names, and I just let her know that I was preventing her from getting in trouble when she becomes an adult. I just thought that I'd tell this in case anyone else has to go through the some Situation, and don't know what to do. Who knows maybe my friend will thank me later and see what I was trying to do, and then maybe she won't, maybe she'll think twice next time. I don't know, I just know that I want to encourage people to coose GOD'S way. You have to tell an adult if a person is doing wrong enven if it means loosing a Friend.
